My Government will be built on the constitution- Prince Adebayo

Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), believes that Nigeria 1999 Constitution has key ingredients that could fix the country.

Adebayo made this known in a chat with journalists and added that he will ensure that his administration will be built on the country’s constitution if given the chance to pilot the affairs of the country come 2023.

Prince Adebayo stated that Chapter two of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria contained both the Government’s responsibilities to the citizens and what the responsibilities of the citizens to the country and this is paramount to the country’s growth and development.

“If we want to fix Nigeria, we need to make up our mind; everybody is part of the problem, for me, I want to fix the country, my spanner is the truth, the government can stop insecurity, Nigerians don’t hold the government accountable.” Adebayo said.

He also added that the task of fixing the country is a responsibility of all Nigerians, and it is wrong for the youths and women to demand for money before supporting or voting a particular candidate.

He further charged Nigerian youths, women and the electorates to resist vote buying, the temptation of collecting money from politicians to vote them into power.

“The mindset of voting people based on monetary benefits has proven to be detrimental to the country as those politicians usually feel entitled to those offices because they feel they bought those positions.” Adebayo added
