The Wife of the Cross River All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate, Pst. Mrs. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu has started a mop up campaign with Women across the Southern Senatorial district.
The Campaign which began in Calabar South and Calabar Municipal Local Government had in attendance some women groups, Women Leaders and non indigenous women groups.
In a very well attended rally, Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu called on the Women to use their numbers in voting the APC and all her candidates
“Women across the country are now the deciders of elections, due to their numbers. You must take advantage of your numbers to elect a man with the people at heart, a man whose antecedent speaks for itself. My husband has declared that he is increasing the engagement of women in government from 30percent to 50percent.
“In the incoming administration Women will not only be engaged but will form an integral part of government”
‘We must be conscious to consider that it is the turn of the South, we cannot allow anyone truncate the peaceful transition of power rotation among the Senatorial Districts in the State. It is this power rotation formula that has brought us peace during elections over the years.”
She called on the Women to come out enmass on the 11th of March to vote for Sen. Prince Bassey Otu and all other APC house of assembly candidates in the State.
