Matawalle Cautions Against Misleading, Inciting Remarks by Politicians

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has cautioned politicians against reckless and inciting utterances regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership. He noted that certain remarks coming from some politicians are not only insulting but also seeks to radicalize youths and destabilize the nation’s peace and security.

Dr. Matawalle warned that the security agencies are on high alert and will not tolerate any form of subversive rhetoric that undermines national unity or incites lawlessness. He emphasized that power is earned through democracy, not intimidation, violence, or lawlessness.

The Minister also reminded Nigerians to place their faith in President Tinubu’s leadership and disregard Amaechi’s vituperations, describing him and his associates as politically irrelevant and out of touch with national development realities.

“The Ministry of Defence will continue to monitor activities aimed at disrupting public peace and ensure severe consequences for those found culpable”, he said.
