Mani LG Chairman Reaffirms Commitment to Governor Radda’s Development Agenda

The Executive Chairman of Mani Local Government, Dr. Yunusa Muhammad Sani Bagiwa, has reaffirmed his commitment to fully aligning with the development agenda of Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, as part of efforts to accelerate growth and improve the welfare of residents across the area.

Dr. Bagiwa gave the assurance during an inspection tour of ongoing projects, where he emphasized that his administration is focused on delivering meaningful dividends of democracy through strategic investments in education, healthcare, water supply, agriculture, and youth development.

He stated that all projects initiated by the council are directly linked to Governor Radda’s development blueprint, adding that the people of Mani will continue to benefit from purposeful leadership and transparent governance.

Education

The council has renovated and upgraded several primary and secondary schools, improved classroom facilities, and strengthened staffing to enhance the quality of basic education in rural communities.

Healthcare

A new health facility has been established to expand access to medical services. Several clinics have also been upgraded, while additional health personnel have been deployed to underserved areas.

Water Supply

To ease water scarcity, the administration has rehabilitated and installed boreholes and water supply systems in various communities, improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation.

Agriculture

Farmers across the local government have benefited from fertilizers, improved seeds, water pumps, tractors, and other farm inputs aimed at boosting food production and improving livelihoods.

Youth Empowerment

The council has introduced youth empowerment initiatives, including skills training, support packages, and scholarships, to reduce unemployment and promote self-reliance among young people.

Dr. Bagiwa commended the increased autonomy granted to local governments, noting that it has enabled councils to manage resources more efficiently and execute projects that directly benefit citizens.

He assured residents that more development projects would be rolled out in the coming months, stressing that Mani Local Government is committed to remaining a model for grassroots development and good governance.

Dr. Bagiwa called on the people of Mani to continue giving their maximum cooperation, noting that Governor Radda is bringing new projects that will further transform the state and uplift communities as part of the dividends of democracy.
