Relief for Liverpool as Mac Allister’s red card overturned

The red that was given to Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister’s during their 3-1 win over Bournemouth has been overturned after a successful appeal.

The 24 year old Argentine world cup winner was sent off and faced a three game suspension for three matches after he appeared to have clipped Ryan Christie’s foot in the 58th minute at Anfield with boss Jurgen Klopp describing the decision as “harsh”.

An appeal was made by the Reds and the Football Association’s Independent Regulatory Commission removed the suspension.

Pressure mounts on United with injury to midfielder

Manchester United’s have been compounded with injury to midfielder Mason Mount who is set to miss the club’s next two Premier league matches.

The Red Devils said the England midfielder sustained the injury in last weekend’s 2-0 defeat by Tottenham and won’t return until after the international break.

Mount joined United from Chelsea in June in a deal worth an initial £55m.

Hammers land former Arsenal defender

West Ham United have added a defender to their ranks as they completed the signing of Greece defender Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart for around £19m

The 25 year old put pen to paper on a five-year deal and will wea the number 15 shirt with the Hammers.

He was formerly at fellow London club Arsenal in January 2018 where he had a torrid spell with injuries that saw him rake in only made seven Premier League appearances before being loaned out.

City set to sign Doku

Reports have it that Premier League champions Manchester City have agreed to pay a fee of £55.4m for Rennes Belgium winger Jeremy Doku.

The 21-year-old who scored 12 goals in 92 appearances for the Ligue 1 side is set to become City’s third major signing of the summer, after landing Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for £25m and Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig for £77m.

City are set to be without the services of Spain defender Aymeric Laporte and Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and La Liga champions Barcelona respectively.
