MACS Foundation Global Conference Set to Address Pressing Global Challenges in Abuja

Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, is set to host the MACS Foundation Global Conference from May 30th to 31st, 2025. This landmark event aims to address pressing global challenges by integrating environment, agriculture, and health to achieve Net Zero, food security, and universal health coverage in Nigeria and Africa.

The conference theme, “Integrating Environment, Agriculture, and Health: Global Approach to Achieving Net Zero, Food Security, and Universal Health Coverage in Nigeria and Africa”, will facilitate high-level discussions on critical issues affecting sustainability and development across the region.

Areas of discussion will include:

Food Security: Tackling hunger, nutrition, and sustainable agricultural practices, with a focus on “Year-round Climate-Smart and Mechanized Agriculture for Food Security.”

Climate Change: Analyzing pollution across air, water, and land as a leading climate risk in Nigeria and proposing a 10-year action plan for Africa.

Public Health: Examining agriculture and environmental approaches to achieving Universal Health Coverage, emphasizing the interconnectedness of public health, food systems, and environmental sustainability.

Distinguished Guests and Participants
The conference will bring together high-profile participants, including: H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, The Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Others are: Ministers across Africa and Heads of Government Departments, Agencies. United Nations, World Bank, Central Bank of Nigeria, and other Development Partners

According to Ambassador Comrade Garba Achinyang, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, “This conference is not just a gathering; it is a call to action. Nigeria and Africa must take decisive steps toward sustainability by integrating environment, agriculture, and health.”
