Ubong Essien, Special Assistant on Communications and Strategy to the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, has exited the agency.
Essien was appointed into the position in August 2020, about five months after Jamoh was appointed Director-General of NIMASA.
“Hello, dear. Last week I officially disembarked from my position as Special Adviser to the DG of NIMASA on Communications and Strategy.
“I have since resumed fully to my role as the Dean of the School of Eloquence. It has been an amazing three years in maritime. Thanks to Dr. Bashir Jamoh and Team NIMASA. And specially to you for supporting me all through the voyage,” Essien said in a message sent to SHIPS & PORTS, confirming his exit from the agency.
A replacement has yet to be announced by NIMASA.
