Israeli – Hezbollah Conflict: 500 Registers as FG commence Evacuation Procedures for Nigerians in Lebanon
The Federal Government of Nigeria in a proactive move, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues a statement on the evacuation of Nigerians from Lebanon.
According to Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, Spokesperson of the Ministry of the Ministry, “In this connection, the Federal Government of Nigeria has commenced evacuation procedures for Nigerian citizens living in Lebanon, following the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
“The Nigerian government urges all citizens living In Lebanon not to resist evacuation because the ongoing conflict may escalate and appeals for cooperation with the evacuation process and follow safety guidelines. Nigeria appreciates the understanding of the international community and will continue to monitor the situation”, he said.
As the time of writing this report about 500 Nigerians out 2,000 Nigerians has registered for evacuation.
