IRS Boss Reiterates Commitment To Promote Peace in Nigeria

As Nigeria lurches from one violent conflict to another, the Global Alliance for Peace and Unity GAPU paid a courtesy call to the Chairman Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service, Ahmed Yakubu Muhammad on Thursday 22th February,2024 in Nasarawa
The President GAPU, Hon. Solomon Pevkyaa who led his team emphasised the significance of peaceful coexistence in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society
He said the purpose of the visit was to establish a working relationship and discuss areas to support sustainable improvements in inter-religious harmony, respect for diversity and religious tolerance inorder to achieve a peaceful Nigeria
Pevkyaa reiterated the Association’s readiness to energise and sustain peace building in Nigeria
Rewarding Muhammad’s commitment to promoting peace, the association awarded him with a certificate of commendation
Reacting, the Chairman, Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service, Ahmed Yakubu Muhammad commended the Association for the strong zeal of ensuring peaceful Nigeria
The Chairman restated the importance of peace for achieving any meaningful development in the country.
He expressed delight at the visit and reiterated his willingness to work with GAPU in ensuring that the environment is safe and secure enough for all and sundry
“I appreciate your ingenuity and initiative in fostering harmony in our society. I will give you all the necessary support you need to succeed and ensure that all issues brought up are dealt with holistically.
