The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has proposed a budget of N873.778 billion for the 2027 general elections, Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan revealed to the National Assembly joint Committee on Electoral Matters. NASS is pushing for timely release of funds.

2026 budget: INEC proposes N171bn, with personnel cost (N109bn), overhead cost (N18.7bn), election conduct (N42.63bn), and capital allocation (N1.4bn)
