INEC Recognizes Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa as APGA Chairman

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has officially recognized Barr. Sylvester (Sly) Ezeokenwa as the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). This decision comes after the Supreme Court’s judgment with Appeal No. SC/CV/824/2024, delivered on November 27, 2024, which affirmed Ezeokenwa’s position as the party’s chairman.

In compliance with the apex court’s ruling, INEC has restored Ezeokenwa’s name on its website as the Chairman of APGA. This development brings an end to the prolonged leadership tussle within the party.

Sam Olumekun, National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information & Voter Education Committee, confirmed the decision in a press release issued today, December 17, 2024.

This recognition is expected to bring stability to the party and pave the way for its preparations for future elections.
