INEC gives Senator Monday Okpebholo Certificate of Return

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday, presented Certificate of Return to Senator Monday Okpebholo, the winner of the governorship election in Edo State held on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

The Deputy Governor-elect, Hon. Dennis Idahosa also received his Certificate of Return.

The exercise, conducted by Prof Rhoda Gumus, the National Commissioner supervising the state, on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, was witnessed by top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This include, the APC national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Niger Delta, Abubakar Momoh.

Others are APC chairman in Edo State, Jaret Tenebe, Hon. Billy Osarawu, Hon. Odion Okojie among others

In an interview with journalists, the visibly elated governor-elect, Senator Okpebholo, said the time has come for him to start what the people of Edo had elected him for.
