INDUSTRALIZATION: Dantata to partner Cross River
Cross River State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has again reiterated the need for Nigeria to embrace agriculture and diversify the country’s economy by way of investing in agro-allied industries across the country based on produce of comparative advantage.
The Governor stated this Thursday in Calabar during an interactive session with a team from Dantata Foods and Allied Products.
The visiting team was led by Mr. Sanusi Bature who represented the Company’s Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeed Aminu Dantata.
According to the governor his administration quest for rapid Industrialisation of Cross River necessitated the establishment of industrial parks in each of the three senatorial districts of the state adding that the Calabar Industrial Park was the largest and most ready for investors.
Earlier in his remark, Bature explained they were in the state to seek areas of partnership with Cross River in industrial agriculture and export businesses.
He told the governor that the company has already forwarded application to the state Ministry of Commerce, for plots in the Industrial Park in Calabar, to set up a Ginnery and Oil Mill factories.
Sanusi disclosed that Dantata is also interested in other agricultural opportunities in the state.
The Cross River state Commissioner for Commerce, Barrister, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong, facilitator of the partnership on her part, said she was very optimistic that Dantata would add value to the economic transformation and job creation goals of the Ayade’s administration.
