Imo State Diaspora SA Reels out Programmes To Benefit Indigenes. ……Focuses on Widows, Physically Challenged and Youths.

The Special Assistant to the Imo state governor, Cllr. Celia Osakwe-Hibbert has disclosed that the Imo state Diapora community under her leadership has strategically put everything in place for the benefit of Indigenes in all Local Government Areas in the State.
Honourable Osakwe Hibbert, made this known yesterday 26 August, 2020 in a media chat with journalists in Abuja.
Celia who commended the State Governor, His Excellency, Hope Uzodinma for given her the opportunity to coordinate diaspora affairs, said that a lot has been achieved despite the covid-19 pandemic which seemed like a clog in the wheel of some of the programmes.
“We have been able to embark on medical outreaches, palliative distribution across the local governments. We have also given special interest to disabled people in the state with lots of packages already benefited and lots more to come.
“Youths in the state, is a very critical area we have touched-light and activities are already on ground amidst the initiative of diaspora athletes that would help empower them.
She revealed that the Diasporas through the SA’s office is set to commence 6 Months Skill Acquisition for Widows across the state.
“We are also partnering other notable investors that are waiting for the COVID-19 pandemic to step down for actions to kick start in earnest” she concluded.
Celia noted that the Imo State Government led by H. E. Hope Uzodima, stressing that the governor has been so wonderful and the force behind the waves that her office is making.
Ms Osakwe-Hibbert who is also an elected Councillor in Penn ward, Wolverhampton, UK,said she will continue to put her wealth of experience in engaging with the Diaspora communities in the UK and all parts of the world to achieve success.
