IMO SA DIASPORA: The Wages of hard-work is Recognition
In an online Award Ceremony on the 28th March 2021, Special Adviser to Imo State Governor received the prestigious ‘Outstanding and Exceptional Women Award’ The Award was sent through the post a few days beforehand. The Awarding body ‘ZAFAT SISTERS’ is a reputable organisation based in Manchester United Kingdom.
This organisation prides itself with the bold approach of breaking down barriers and prejudices especially within the Muslim Women Community.
The spokesperson for the organisation stated that ‘Councillor Celia Hibbert is an exceptional and outstanding woman who has shown unbiased support, commitment and devotion to community duties irrespective of religion, tribe, gender or class. “She has supported several functions in various Mosques and is always available to assist whenever needed”, the spokesperson added. “We look forward to continuing to work with her and we pray that Allah keeps her courageous to challenge what is wrong and to continue to support what’s right”.
Governor Uzodimma’s Aide who delivered a keynote speech at the online event titled “Where Is Home; The Dilemma of a Nigerian In Diaspora’ reminded the audience to cross off the word ‘Dilemma’ and replace it with ‘Opportunities’. Hon. Cllr. Celia Osakwe-Hibbert revealed that the best form of wages anyone can receive for their hard-work is ‘recognition’. “I’m happy and humbled to receive this award”, she said.
