IKORODU DIVISION PEACE AND INITIATIVE DONATES VEHICLE TO NDLEA

The Ikorodu Division Peace and Initiative a non governmental organisation under the Chairmanship of Odofin Adewunmi Ogunsanya has donated one Toyota Tacoma double cabin pick up vehicle and a motorcycle to National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Ikorodu Area of Lagos State Command.

This gesture came as a result of the activities of the Ikorodu Area Command in terms of arrests, seizures and prosecutions of illicit drug offenders in the area. Also campaigns, sensitisation, seminars and workshops were equally carried out in the area on the dangers of drug abuse and misuse to the people.

During the handing over of the vehicle and the motorcycle, The Chairman enjoined the NDLEA Ikorodu area to make the very good use of the vehicle and the motorcycle in executing its mandate to minimise trafficking and abuse of illicit drug in the area for Ikorodu to be a crime free society.

The Area Commander, Mr Isiaka Lawal O (ACN) in his response while taking over the vehicle stated that he was caught unaware with this gesture, that this event will have been the occasion that the State Commander NDLEA Lagos State Command would have been the one to receive the items. He said he was short of words to express his appreciation to the organisation for finding NDLEA Ikorodu worthy to be beneficiary of this wonderful donation.

The Area Commander stated that the vehicle and the motorcycle will be judiciously utilised for the good people of Ikorodu.
