A social worker, activist, Sarah Ugbana said she finds Joy doing volunteering work.
Ugbana, who leads a non-governmental organization, Azar Initiative, said there is a huge gap between families and their aged parents or grand parents, among  the rich and the poor. These aged are being left alone at home or even in the village having no one to take care of them.
She said her NGO targets the Northern Nigeria as a result of  the insurgency which have left a huge number of aged survivals helpless and hopeless ” the NGO started with the help of family and friends who saw the big dream and believed in it , but now to the glory of God we have a team of zealous persons involved and volunteering doctors which has helped us cover a wider range”.
Ugbana who works with Ship Rate in Common Wealth, a project under the informational trade centre, said she does lot of volunteering,  ” I do a lot of volunteering, I find it all joy any moment I do this things  especially as is for free, I have volunteered for project Revamp African, Y-WAP for over ten years now and many others.
“More so my life revolves round my NGO therefore in few years time, we want to see how we can establish homes for these elderly people in communities, set up adult literacy centres, also train this aged people on how to take care of themselves, to set up a system whereby these aged people get their pension without struggle and finally to be in partnership with UN as the government of Nigeria is too busy to recognise and help NGOS.
“I want to encourage those out there especially the youths to be self motivated as it has also helped me thus far, stay focus, try and create impact, stay through to whom you are, let your dream be bigger than you and more importantly Believe in God, surround yourself with people who believes in you and can answer  whenever you call”.
