HAJJ: Katsina State Government set aside over N398 million  to Intending Pilgrims to be shared

In addition to the payment of 578 Riyals amounting to over 300 thousand Naira for Hadayat to each intending Pilgrim, Katsina State Government set aside over 398 million naira to be shared as sallah package to Intending Pilgrims from the State at the Holly land.

The Governor made this known during a farewell message to Katsina State intending pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj Exercise.

Malam Dikko Umaru Radda used the occasion to urge the intending pilgrims to pray for peace and unity in the State and the Country while at the Holly land.

The Governor charged them to be good ambassadors of the State and the Country as well as to pray for success of his administration in its effort to fight against insecurity facing the State.

He therefore commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON for the arrangement made to ensure successful conduct of the 2024 Hajj Exercise.

While applauding the commitment of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board in coordinating the exercise, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda also advised the Intending Pilgrims to abide by the rules and regulations governed to them by Saudi Authorities.

The Governor congratulated the 2,760 intending pilgrims for being chosen by Allah to perform the Hajj which is one of the pillars of Islam.

Also speaking, the State Amirul Hajj who is the Former Deputy Governor Tukur Ahmad Jikamshi said good arrangements have been made by the board in collaboration with the State Government’s delegation which has started yielding result since from the beginning.

Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi maintained that this is as a result of the support and cooperation they received from the State Government.

Earlier, the Chairman Governing Board of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board and also Sarkin Alhazan Katsina commended Governor Dikko Umar Radda for given them opportunity to exercise their mandate without any interference.

He therefore assured to justify the confidence repose in them by ensuring hitch free Hajj Exercise.

The Executive Secretary Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama appreciated the Governor for his support to ensure proper arrangements for the exercise.
Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama said the State Government had supported the intending Pilgrims in the areas of accommodation, hadayat and transportation to ease pilgrimage.

Speaking on behalf of the Katsina and Daura Emirates, the Yandakan Katsina Alhaji Sada Muhammad Sada acknowledged the State Government’s commitment to the exercise and appealed to the Intending Pilgrims of the State to be good ambassadors as well as to pray for the State and the Country.
