Government will meet demands that are of priority – Meribole

As part of activities marking the Workers Day celebration held on May, 1st, 2024, a Post- May day conference was held with the theme : Impact of government policy on Nigerian workers: Oil subsidy removal in perspective.
Speaking at the conference organized by the Joint Consultative and Negotiation Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Meribole expressed government willingness to meet demands of workers that are of priority.
While drawing the attention of Aviation workers to the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan of 2021 to 2025, he outlined the six pillars of the reforms promising the workers to do all he can to see that their demand is fulfilled base on availability of funds so as to encourage performance within the system.
Delivering her speech, the Director Human Resources Management, Mrs. Meriam salute the Union and stated that the impact of government policy on workers is aimed at improving the welfare of workers and the overall development of the nation.
Chairman, Joint Consultative Union, Mr. Hector’s appreciated the support of the Permanent Secretary towards the progress of the Union in all aspects since his assumption of office as the Permanent Secretary. He stated that he is fully aware that all demands of workers cannot be met but substantial demands has been met including the agencies under the Ministry.
