Gov Radda Inspects N761m Dialysis Centre, Offsets Medical Bills of Patients at Katsina Hospital

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Saturday, paid an unscheduled visit to the Amadi Rimi General Hospital in Katsina.
The governor was at the hospital to inspect the ongoing construction of a 16-bed Dialysis Centre, which will be the first of its kind in the entire northern part of the country.
At the hospital, Malam Dikko Radda also settled the medical bills of a number of patients on admission at the Accident and Emergency Section of the hospital, wishing them speedy recovery.
The dialysis centre aims to enhance the accessibility and affordability of kidney treatment for patients in the state.
Recalled that the Katsina State Government, in September 2023, set aside N761m for the establishment of the dialysis centre.
During the inspection, Governor Radda expressed satisfaction with the level of progress of the project, and the contractor’s adherence to building standards.
He said the installation of all the 16 dialysis machines in the hospital would soon commence as the project is almost 90 percent completed.
According to him, attention would now be focused on the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Section of the centre. All these, Governor Radda, said was to make the hospital a Centre of Excellence in the field of healthcare services.
