GONI URGES PARENTS TO MAKE MARRIAGES AFFORDABLE FOR WOULD BE HUSBANDS

The Conservator General of the National Park, Dr Ibrahim Gon has appealed to parents to always make marriages easy and affordable for would be husbands.
Dr Goni made the call on Saturday at New Bussa during the marriage of his son Salahudeen Goni with Fatima Galadima.
The CG who is also a traditional title holder, took his quests to pay homage to HRH. Alh Muhammad Haliru Dan Toro, emir of Borgu, who welcomed everyone present. He commended Ibrahim Goni adding that it is very difficult for him to be personally present for him to be physically present but that the man Goni is not only important but “in him the land finds confidence and competence.”
The emir prayed for the couple and encouraged the CG to keep his good work up for it is part of his good name that has made this gathering populous.
From the palace, people turned out in their numbers to witness the wedding fatiha of Salahudeen Goni and Fatima Galadima. The fatiha was conducted successfully and people rejoice at the drops of rain because it signifies blessings.
Highlight of the event at the reception which followed after the wedding fatiha were attractive parade by different military officers to welcome the bride and groom to the reception. The chairman of the occasion, ACG Monsur Lamidi (rtd), appreciated everyone present. He urged the couple to be tolerant and just in caring out their duties. He further advised the groom to emulate his father and he will enjoy his marriage life. He prayed for the couple and declared the floor open for merriment. Soon music started there were lots of dances in an orderly manner. Been a patriotic Nigeria, there were lots of cultural group music and dance presentations.
True is the saying that one good turn deserves another as this saying was seen practical as people bath the couple with lots of gifts including a sword presentation to the groom by the commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
CG Ibrahim Goni expressed his gratitude to all the guest and advised people out there to cut their coats according to their sizes as this will enable them manage marriage expenses.
