In a major push towards a sustainable future, the Cool Coalition has surged forward with an impressive 130 partners, including 23 countries, joining forces to accelerate the transition to sustainable cooling. This project is said to attract $8 trillion opportunity in sustainable cooling solutions for developing economies

Launched at the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit, the Cool Coalition has emerged as a leading Transformation Initiative, driving collective action to reduce the climate impact of cooling systems. The coalition’s rapid growth underscores the global commitment to addressing the alarming consequences of climate change.

The Cool Coalition’s mission is to promote sustainable cooling solutions, recognizing the critical role cooling plays in human health, food security, and economic development. As the world grapples with rising temperatures, the coalition’s work has become increasingly urgent.

“We are at a tipping point in the fight against climate change,” said a spokesperson for the Cool Coalition. “Sustainable cooling is essential to mitigate the worst impacts of global warming, and we’re proud to have such a diverse and dedicated group of partners working together to achieve this goal.”

The coalition’s partners, including governments, businesses, and organizations, are committed to:

1. Promoting efficient cooling technologies
2. Phasing down harmful refrigerants
3. Enhancing cooling resilience in vulnerable communities
4. Supporting climate-resilient agriculture and infrastructure

The Global Cooling Pledge, launched at COP28, further solidifies the coalition’s objectives, emphasizing the need for unified action to address the climate crisis.
