Oru Leonard
In alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, which prioritises integrity, discipline, and the fight against corruption in public service, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, has directed members of the Corps Management to embark on a nationwide engagement with officers and men across all formations.
The initiative is designed to strengthen the operational culture of the Corps by reinforcing professionalism, productivity, and ethical conduct among personnel in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The strategic engagement, which was conducted across commands nationwide on 3 March 2026, forms part of the Corps Marshal’s broader reform agenda aimed at repositioning the Corps as a disciplined, accountable, and service-oriented institution that enjoys the trust and confidence of the public.
During the engagements, members of the Management delivered a firm message to personnel that the Corps is entering a new phase of operational excellence. Officers and men were urged to recommit themselves to the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism, while strictly adhering to a zero-tolerance policy on corruption.
The leadership of the Corps emphasised that professionalism and ethical conduct remain essential to strengthening institutional integrity and enhancing public confidence in the organisation. Personnel were reminded that the mandate of the Federal Road Safety Corps goes beyond enforcement to include safeguarding lives, promoting responsible road use, and serving Nigerians with transparency, dedication, and accountability.
Under the leadership of Shehu Mohammed, the Corps continues to pursue institutional reforms that prioritise ethical service delivery, operational efficiency, and discipline as key pillars of its mandate.
The nationwide engagement therefore represents a significant step in reinforcing a culture where integrity is paramount, excellence is expected, and every officer remains committed to the Corps’ core mission of ensuring safety on Nigeria’s roads.
The Management of the Federal Road Safety Corps reaffirms its commitment to these reforms and assures the motoring public that efforts will continue to be intensified toward delivering safer roads and improved service to the nation.
