Foreign Affairs Minister Receives in audience Bangladesh High Commissioner in Nigeria and the NBBTF Team

Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Geoffrey Onyema received the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, HE. Mr. Masudur Rahman ndc and the Nigeria Bangladesh Business and Technology Forum (NBBTF), in Abuja recently on a courtesy visit to discuss ongoing efforts at expanding bilateral relations between Nigeria and Bangladesh.
It was a warm reception by the Hon. Minister who has promised to support the Choose Nigeria Choose Bangladesh initiative with the goal of a robust bilateral relations as desired by the President, Mohamadu Buhari and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheik Hasina when she met with the President in Abuja on an official visit.
He also apluaded the efforts to share experience with Bangladesh on exciting Nigeria’s Blue Economy leveraging Bangladesh experience in the sector and managing about 900 rivers with 50 of them sharing international maritime boundaries.
This visit and pronouncement gives the official seal to the first Nigeria delegation to Bangladesh comprising government and private sector players.
NBBTF was established in 2020 as a body to facilitate bilateral engagements, technology and trade expansion between Nigeria and Bangladesh in areas of comparative advantage and on win win basis with mutual respect.
