Liverpool came from a goal down to beat Bournemouth at Anfield by 3- 1. The Reds were stunned when the Cherries drew first blood inside three minutes as Antoine Semenyo fired sweetly into the bottom corner to silent the home side.

They got an equalizer through Luis Diaz when he collected Diogo Jota’s low cross and volleyed home. A penalty was awarded when Dominik Szoboszlai fell to the ground after a challenge at the corner by Joe Rothwell and Mohamed Salah converted the rebound after his penalty was parried by Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.

Summer signing and world cup winner Alexis Mac Allister received his matching orders when he caught the foot of Ryan Christie midway of the second half but it didn’t stop the home team from getting a third as Diogo Jota scored from close range.

Brighton delivers a thumping to Wolves at the Molineux

Sully March grabbed a brace in the Premier League fixture between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The first goal was a stunning solo goal from Kaoru Mitoma who skidded past five players before scoring against a hapless Jose Sa.
The second half saw Pervis Estupinan score and March grabbing a brace in the space of nine minutes to make it 4-0.
Hwang Hee-chan pulled one back for Wolves with a well-placed header as Gary O’Neil’s side lost Matheus Nunes who was sent off for a second yellow card in added time.

 

Fulham stunned at the Cottage in the London derby

Fulham FC were thoroughly beaten at home turf when Brentford FC visited Craven Cottage.

Yoane Wissa opened the score sheet while Bryan Mbeumo grabbed a double to gave Brentford a comfortable 3-0 win over their west London rivals Fulham, who were reduced to 10 men.

A defensive set up Wissa benefitted from an error from Fulham centre-back Issa Diop before beating goalkeeper Bernd Leno at the stroke of half-time.
Things got worse for the home side after captain Tim Ream was shown the door after bringing down Wissa in the penalty box which Mbeumo converted to give the Bees a 2-0 lead.
Wissa got his brace and a comfortable win when he scored in the dying minutes of the game.

This was Brentford’s fifth win in eight games against Fulham and took their unbeaten run in London derbies to 11, equalling a club record.

 

Spurs get win of the season
Tottenham Hotspur secured their first win under Ange Postecoglou with a deserved victory over Manchester United.

The first goal was scored by Pape Matar Sarr from close range after a neat build up by the home side.
It was an end to end game as chances were created but it was Spurs who sealed the victory in front of the home support after 83 minutes when Ivan Perisic’s cross took a touch off Ben Davies before going in via Lisandro Martinez to end the game at 2-0.

 

Alvarez steps up in a tight contest

Manchester City recorded a slim victory against Newcastle United at the Etihad stadium.

In a game that could have produced a lot of goals, it was Argentine forward, Julien Alvarez who was the difference between both sides.
He scored an absolute stunner to give the Cityzens a 1-0 victory

 

Serie A: new season same Osimhen

High flying Nigeria and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen grabbed a brace as Napoli began their Serie A title defense.

It was Harroui who scored from the spot kick in the 7th minutes to give Frosinone the lead but Politano equalized in the 24th minute.

Osimhen then put the defending champions ahead in the 42nd minute before adding his second and putting the game to bed in the 79th minute to give them 3-1 victory.

Martinez shoots Inter to victory

Argentine forward, Lautaro Martinez scored a goal in both halves to give Inter Milan a win at the San Siro.
The Nerazurri took the lead after Dutch defender, Denzel Dumfries gave a low cross to find Martinez who just guided the ball past the goalkeeper.
Martinez got the second after some fancy footwork by Marko Arnautovic to give them a solid victory in week one of the Serie A season.
