Milan continue with impressive start

Ac Milan continued their impressive start to the 2023/24 Serie A season with a 2-1 victory over AS Roma at the Stadio Olympico.
Frenchman Olivier Giroud scored from the spotkick early in the game to see him score in all 3 games so far.

Portuguese forward, Rafael Leao made it 2-0. Milan were reduced to ten men when defender Fikayo Tomori received his matching orders.

Leonardo Spinazzola pulled one back for Jose Mourinho’s side but it wasn’t enough as the Rossoneri hung on to win and retain their top spot on the log.

Elsewhere, Sassuolo bounced back from defeat last week to hand Hellas Verona a 3-1 defeat

Bundesliga: Dortmund held by newly promoted Heidenheim

Newly promoted side, Heidenheim came from two goals down to play out a 2-2 draw against last season runner up Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park.

The Black and Yellow scored two in the first half courtesy of Julian Brandt and Emre Can.

Eren Dinkçi pulled one back to half the deficit. Dortmund were guilty of wasting chances to increase their tally before Tim Kleindienst scored from the spot to equalize and earn a draw in a very spirited game.

In the La Liga, Cadiz stunned Villareal with a 3-1 defeat while Almeria and Celta Vigo were involved in a five goal thriller with Celta getting the three points.

West Ham go top

West Ham united recorded an impressive win away from home to go top of the Premier League table.

The Hammers who are enjoying one of their finest start to the season in collective memory took the lead through forward, Jared Bowen in the 37th minute.
Defender, Kurt Zouma doubled the advantage for the defending champions of the UEFA Europa Conference League from the set piece.
Luton Town got one back late in the game through defender, Mads Andersen but the away side defended solidly to get a well deserved win much to the delight of David Moyes.
