FGN commiserates with the People and Government of Hellenic Republic on Feb 28 Train Crash

The Federal Government of Nigeria has commiserated with the Government and people of Greece over the tragic head-on collision of two (2) trains in Central Greece, that left dozens of people dead and many more injured on 28th February, 2023.
A press release signed by the Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Francisca K. Omayuli today stated, “Nigeria sympathizes with the families of the deceased and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured,”
According to BBC report, a passenger service carrying 350 people collided with a freight train just before midnight on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, after they ended up on the same track – causing the front carriages to burst into flames.
