FG Changes Nigerian Prisons Service To Nigerian Correctional Service

The Federal Government of Nigeria  (FGN), has changed the Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS), to the Nigerian Correctional Service.

This was effected with the signing of a bill for Nigerian correctional service into law by the FGN,  an act that repealed the Nigerian Prisons Service Act.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, disclosed this to State House correspondent in Abuja.

With the signing, the Nigerian Prisons Service will now be called the Nigerian Correctional Service.
