Excitement galore as MSP Residence Chapel Family Holds Galilee Day

The Missionary of Saint Paul (MSP), Resident family today (Monday), held Galilee day celebration in commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, at ST Aloysius School area 3 garki Abuja.

The event started with the celebration of Mass around 10am by Rev fr Jude Alih in which he explains in the Gospel part of  when Jesus Christ told his followers to meet him in Galilee to celebrate with him. Rev fr Jude then urged members to live as Christians by showing good example for others to follow.

During the Mass Rev Fr Jude had a question and answer session for kids which attracted gifts.

Speaking to introduce the event the  Chairman of the of the Organizing committee, Sir Marcel Ezeagu,, gave a brief introduction of the activities and commended the efforts and contributions of members towards the success of the event.

Celebration of Galilee which started at the end of the Mass kicked off with the introduction of invited quests, Rev sister of different parishes.

Highlights of the event include mass, novelty match between men and women, dance, light Refreshment, egg Race,Sack Race, Table games , lunch time, competition and Dance Dance.

Members of the MSP Chapel family expressed their joy and satisfaction with the event and wished same for next year.

Mrs Chioma Okoro later commented, “Fun -filled day. Colourful outing, great planning with thorough execution. Well done Team! God bless you richly.”

In a message appreciating members Fr Jude thanked members for their contributions and show of love.

Galilee day, is a Christian feast celebrated by joining the apostles of Jesus Christ in Faith to meet with the risen Lord.

According to Rev Fr Joel Okojie, the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead continues and for ever. “It is a day of joy, a day we specially share the joy of the risen Lord with one another.”- 6 Apr 2015
