Excitement fills Indonesian Embassy Residence as H.E. Harahab, Wife and Staff distribute items

In keep to Islamic injunction if charity, The Indonesian Embassy led by the Ambassador, His Excellency Usra Harahab and his wife Mrs Nenny Harahab has on Tuesday extended hands of charity to the Muslim community at Abuja in the spirit of Ramadan.

In his address before the sharing of food items and cash gift to selected members across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, he said the gifts which was gathered through contributions from the management and staff of the embassy was to show support to citizens which is one of the pillars of Islam. “We have been helped by Allah, we also have to help others and I wish you happy Ramadan”, the envoy said.

Indonesia will continue supporting Nigeria in it’s fight against poverty, unemployment and in it’s quest to address lingering insecurity and other forms of criminality “.

The wife of the Ambassador, Mrs Harahab personally distributed hyjab and cash to women including children with happiness.

Imams from three different locations explained the significance of charity especially during the Ramadan. The also stressed the need to keep to Islamic injunction of giving as it attracts blessing.

Ramadan is usually in the ninth month of the Muslim year, lasting 30 days, during which strict fasting is observed from sunrise to sunset. the fast itself.

Usra Hendra Harahap is a retired Air Force flag officer who has served as the ambassador of Indonesia to Nigeria since 21 March 2019.

Nigeria and Indonesia established diplomatic relation since 1976.
