Edo State To Host 2019 NAFEST

The Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture Otumba Olusegun Runsewe has today in Abuja said that all road leads to Edo state come October 19th to 26th 2019 as the 2019 edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST) will take place in Edo state.
Edo state known for her rich cultural heritage dating back in the centuries is a celebrated destination for Arts and Culture. Edo state is reputed to be the cultural hub of Nigeria and Africa at large. The National Council for Arts and Culture has therefore decided to host the 2019 National Festival of Arts and Culture in Edo state come October 19th to 26th.
In a meeting with the State government representative, honourable commissioner for Arts, Culture, Tourism and Diaspora Affairs Hon Osaze Osemwegie-Ero , the DG Olusegun Runsewe said ” Edo 2019 promises to be unique in all respect, Edo state has a rich and diverse cultural heritage. Permit me to inform you that one of the distinctive features of NAFEST 2019 would be A DAY OF ROYAL SPLENDOUR and this is in collaboration with Oba as it will take place in his palace and also a special Royal Exhibition depicting the grandeur of Benin royalty”.
NAFEST has over the years become a truly national unity forum that has brought Nigerians from all the states of the federation together in same arena for socio-cultural exchange.
