Dr. Linda Ayade delivers medical outreach at Obudu

The wife of the Cross River State Governor, Dr. Linda Ayade has carried out a free medical outreach for the people of Kakum village in Obudu LGA in Nigeria.

Dr. Ayade stated that the health and welfare of her people remains a huge priority as no sick person can comfortably come out to exercise their franchise during the polls, hence the need for the medical outreach.

“Earlier before now, this administration has proven severally that the health of every Cross Riverian remains a major priority and this is evident in the very numerous achievements of the health sector.
“I’m  thought it wise to bring down medical services to the doorstep of my people to ease them the stress of spending money on medical commodities because one must be healthy to carryout their day to day activities.

“We’ve never played politics when it comes to the healthy wellbeing of any cross riverian and this medical outreach is basically targeted at the poor, the very ill persons, the aged and even the vulnerable. This is not the first neither will it be the last. We’ll continue to provide medical succor to our people against all odds.”

On her part, the Director General of the CRSPHCDA Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong reiterated her commitment to continue to see how health care services can be brought down to the doorstep of cross riverians.
She thanked the Governor Sen. Ayade and his dear wife Dr. Ayade for always prioritizing the health sector and putting the lives of cross riverians first. “His Excellency and his dear wife Dr. Linda Ayade has done so much in the health sector and Cross Riverians will forever remain indebted.

“Medical services especially through free outreaches like this has proven to be of immense benefit to our people as those who cannot afford hospital bills get this services free of charge. Her Excellency has instructed that we carry out this outreaches across the entire LGAs and that we’ll do. Let me specially thank the PHC Director of Obudu LGA Dr. Christiana Akeke and her staff for this wonderful service and support.”

Thousands of the villagers took advantage of the opportunity as they all came out in en masse to get medical attention with experts handling various health cases. Other communities are also on the list to benefit from Her Excellency’s outreach in no distant time.
