Dikko Hails NIS’ Critical Role in NSC’s Vision for Nigerian Sports

The National Sports Commission (NSC), Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, has emphasized the importance of the National Institute for Sports (NIS) in achieving the Commission’s vision to reset, reform, and relaunch Nigerian sports.
Dikko highlighted the critical role of NIS in providing manpower and research needed to accelerate the NSC’s vision.
The NSC Chairman welcomed the newly appointed Director-General of NIS, Comr. Philip Shuaibu, and applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment.
He expressed optimism that Comr. Shuaibu will succeed in his assignment and emphasized the need for collective work to deliver on the President’s mandate.
“The NIS is key to our vision in the Commission because it will give us the manpower and research needed to accelerate the vision”, Dikko stated.
Shuaibu expressed gratitute for the reception, adding that he will work to ensure that the renewed hope vision of the President will be visible in the sporting sector.
The NSC is working to reform and relaunch Nigerian sports, and the appointment of Comr. Shuaibu is seen as a strategic move to turn around the NIS and support the Commission’s vision.
