DEVELOPING THE LEADER IN YOU

There’s a leadership CAPACITY in every man, every woman, in a group, in a team, in an Organization, even you.
It’s often unharnessed and unharvested. Society has a wrong philosophy and understanding of who is a Leader. That’s why we don’t groom leaders in Africa, to start we don’t know what Leadership mean.
Leadership, just like Money, and just like Life are not been taught in the universities and polytechnics. That’s why many Accountants and Finance graduates are unemployed, and some poor, because they are taught how to count other people’s money, take to bank, raise journals and cash books, balance the ledger, and extract the Trial Balance. They’re not taught how to MAKE MONEY, so they administer and manage other people’s money.
Same goes to LIFE. Medics are taught to care and provide cares on other people’s health. So they administer cares.
The best example people know about Leadership is WHOEVER you place above them; call it Manager, Head of Department, bosses, president, Chairman, governor of association, society/States or groups. People ASSUME their politicians, HoD, Presidents, chairpersons, traditional chiefs, traditional rulers, etc are leaders. They are wrong if they STOP there. Well, to give you or those who think like that a SOFT LANDING, those people you think of are at the greatest/best, POSITIONAL leaders, which under strict check, indices and yardsticks of measurement/vetting, they are NOT TRUE or REAL leaders.
But you, yourself and your employees or association Membership/EXCOs, Directors, Managers, congregation Ministers can harness the Leadership entrapped in your inside and let it loose to express the leader in you.
Every man, every woman is called to lead… to lead at least in one area or two or so. Every man is also called to follow. Every leader is a follower. He or she follows in other areas he or she is not leading or WHEN he or she is not leading. You may not be leading all the time.

It’s better to work with equipped people than to work with QUACKS. Any untrained person for a job before or at the startment of the job, and is doing the job is called a QUACK. If your leaders (EXCOs, OFFICERS, MANAGERS) are “leading” without training at least or properly DEVELOPED, then they’re QUACKS.
If your employees, even if they’re cleaners, are not equipped to work with you as leaders in thinking and deed, DEFINITELY they are operators and clerks. in that case, don’t expect much input from them. You’ve gone for the cheapest, most unprepared for the tasks, and you’ve not helped matter preparing the person. Be prepared for failure (for you, I say, “God forbid”). So, better develop them to reason, and think like leaders.
You don’t know how much money you are losing because you’re working with with nobodies (non-leader capacited persons) than when you are working with leaders. So ignore what (cost) it takes you to develop them.
