The Honourable member representing Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency, Honourable Victor Abang, has expressed deep conviction in the abilities of the Cross River state governor, Senator Bassey Otu to turn around the fortune of the state despite it’s dwindling federal allocation.
Honourable Abang spoke to journalists on the sidelines of the “Cross River state Executive Governor’s Roundtable 2024” organised by the State government in Abuja.
Speaking on the deep sea port, he said “we believe in the involvement of the private sector as government alone cannot actualise the deep sea project but with the involvement of the private sector there is a possibility that the project will see the light of the day”.
He added that the deep sea port project will bring massive development to the state in terms of job opportunities and several other infrastructures capable of taking Cross River state to an enviable height.
On the state of Tinapa, Honourable Abang said meaningful discussions have been held with the governor to that effect as he was hopeful that the right decisions will be taken to revamp the project which is known for its tourism and hospitality potentials and is capable of raking in massive revenue for the state.
On sports development, he opined that it would be difficult to bring all the issues in one roundtable but expressed optimism that every area that will bring about youths engagement will be surely looked into.
He called on all indigens of Cross River to support the Governor in actualising the dreams and aspirations of all.
