Corp member donates borehole as CDS

News reaching Newsdotafrica has it that a Corp Member serving in the Itigidi Community, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State has donated a borehole with an overhead tank to the community.

Salisu Aishat thanked the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for the opportunity to be able to create such an impact and touch lives far away from her home as she handed over the project which she had implemented as part of the Community Development Service(CDS). She was also full of praises for the community leaders for their unwavering support and for being wonderful hosts.

Mr. Zemoh Andrew, the Cross River State NYSC Coordinator appreciated the corp member for the laudable project, added that she has integrated herself into the community thereby fulfilling the Community Development Service leg of the scheme.
Head of Community Development Service, CDS, Mr. Peter Achigili, who represented the State Coordinator was said that the Corps member has shown exemplary leadership which led to the completion of the project.

Zemoh said: “Corp members are to identify the needs of their host communities and provide solutions to them, stressing that it is the Hallmark of the Community Development Service that Salisu Aishat has achieved today,” urging the community to maintain and make judicious use of the project to properly serve the community.

The Village Head, His Royal Highness Eval John Nkanu Ivon who received the project for the community, thanked the Corps Member and the NYSC Management for posting Corps Members with initiatives to his community, promising that the project will be utilized properly.
