The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, on Thursday, paid a familiarization visit to the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nasarawa State Command, Corps Commander Yahaya Sabon Adikwu, in continuation of his courtesy and strategic engagements with security and safety agencies across the state.
Speaking during the visit, Commandant Brah emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration, stronger operational synergy, and effective intelligence sharing in addressing security and safety challenges within the state. He noted that the safety of lives and property on the highways and within communities can only be sustained through mutual understanding, cooperation, and coordinated efforts among all security actors.
“The NSCDC under my leadership in Nasarawa State is committed to fostering a working relationship built on trust, information exchange, and operational support. Together with the FRSC and other sister agencies, we can ensure a more secure environment for our citizens and protect critical national assets and infrastructure,” Commandant Brah stated
In his remarks, the Sector Commander, FRSC Nasarawa State Command, Corps Commander Yahaya Sabo Adikwu, appreciated Commandant Brah for the visit and described it as a welcome development that would further strengthen the existing bond between the two agencies. He assured of the FRSC’s readiness to collaborate with the NSCDC in the areas of joint operations, traffic management during emergencies, and public enlightenment campaigns.
The visit featured discussions on strategic partnership areas such as emergency response coordination, road safety sensitization, and intelligence-led patrols, all geared toward enhancing public safety and security within the state.
Commandant Brah Samson Umoru has since assuming duty, embarked on a series of familiarization and operational visits aimed at promoting unity of purpose among security stakeholders and repositioning the NSCDC Nasarawa State Command for greater efficiency and impact.
