China in Nigeria Holds Cultural Week

The China cultural centre on Thursday, June 6, 2019, held its cultural week in Abuja, Nigeria.
The event was attended by the group chairman, Tourism Industry in HAINA (China), Mr Lee, Director General, National Council for Art and Culture Otunba Segun Runsewe, Director General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Mr Folorunsho Coker.
The China cultural week had the theme “Prospects of the Nigerian Tourism Industry.”
DG NTDC Mr Folorunsho coker in his speech said that the Tourism industry is an industry with enormous prospects for growth, with an almost infinite capacity to create jobs, drive exports and generate prosperity for all parts of the country.
The DG National Council for Art and Culture, Mr Otunba Segun Runshewe, said that Nigeria and China have had a fantastic and robust cultural relationship over the years and will not cease to exist until eternity, as Nigeria is still set to continue in the relationship.
Tourism in Nigeria has improved over the years and the World Tourism Organization, UNWTO has shown considerable interest in the growth of the industry and has taken decisions including the offer of vital technical assistance, capacity building and the revision of the country’s “Tourism master plan” as part of its efforts to encourage the development of Tourism in Nigeria.
