CEPAD Marks Organization’s 3rd Year Anniversary

The Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development marks it’s 3rd year anniversary on 27th November,2021.
The Executive Director CEPAD, Igweshi Augustine disclosed that since the inception of the organization, it has impacted lots of lives in the areas of Peace building, leadership development and youth empowerment.
CEPAD as an organization that wants to help achieve the global goals, organized 5 weeks educational project titled Science, Technology, Engineering,Art and Mathematics (STEAM) to address issues of gender base violence among secondary school students to commemorate the 16 days of activism.
In the celebration of it’s anniversary, CEPAD launched a magazine and awarded personalities that have impacted lives in the society.
One of the award-winning persons, Honourable George Akume, the Hon. Minister Special Duties and Inter-governmental affairs who was represented by his S.A Fatima Ibellogo Tor commends CEPAD for the wonderful impacts they are doing.
She said the Minister has passion for the youth of Nigeria and for his commitment in supporting the youth, the President Muhammadu Buhari approved a program of One Million employment yearly.
She added
” Akume is gender responsive and frowns at every form of violence.”
In the fight against SGBV, Tor urged for more involvement of women in all spares of work.
Mrs. MaryRose Ebele Oduche is a woman who has impacted lots of lives and was among the award-winning persons
Speaking also, the Founder Destined Child International Foundation, Mrs. MaryRose Ebele Oduche congratulates CEPAD on their anniversary and applaud them for their services.
Oduche grieved at increase in the cases of GBV and support the establishment of special courts to fasten Justice for victims.
She urged the public to team up and put hands on deck to fight the menace of gender base violence.
