CDOWA Schools Gets Approval to Commence Academic Activities… CG assures maximum support

The Commandant General, of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi,mni, OFR had assured of his support and that of the corps to ensure the full academic take off of the Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA), group of schools.

CG Audi gave the assurance when he received the National Executive Committee (EXCO) members of the association led by it’s President, Hajiya Aisha Abubakar Audi in his office at the NSCDC national headquarters in Abuja.

The Commandant General said he had visited the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC) to fine-tune discussions with regards to the CDOWA groups of Schools and have reached an appropriable state which will soon manifest in the site seeing and erection of the school,

“We will at management level also look into the possibility of having a mini launching to raise some funds and support you our wives in this wise…”

He appreciated the officer’s wives for doing a good job in keeping the home front by giving their husbands peace which he said translated into optimal productivity in the office,

“I want to thank you very much for keeping the peace at home while we are out on the field fighting for the peace of our country as I have not received any negative reports from my colleagues…”

The NSCDC’s boss directed that the profile of the teachers of the school be made available to him and assured of adequate and appropriate welfare.

Earlier, the President of the Civil Defence Officers’ Wives (CDOWA), Hajiya Aisha Abubakar Audi in her remarks, while appreciating the contributions and support of the Commandant General, appealed to the corps to look into the issues surrounding the school building.

“I want to thank you (the CG) for the approval of the CDOWA groups of schools building and to continue deliberations on the take-off”.

She informed the CG that they have obtained approval for the academic takeoff of the school from the Quality Assurance of the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) and will want to commence in earnest.

The pupils of the school made a presentation to the commandant general and thereafter had group photographs.
