Carnival 2019: More Than 300 Bikers Storm Calabar

The city of Calabar was agog on Friday December 27, 2019 with over 300 bikers who were in town to showcase their skills and mastery on the wheels.
The Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade, who flagged off the bikers parade at the millennium park, along the Murtala Mohammed Highway Calabar, called on the people to expect spectacular performances from the parade.
Most of the bikers who were on ground, took the opportunity to exhibit some wonders with the wheels.
The bikers parade which had four biker’s clubs, Tinapa Motorcycle Club, Red Scorpion King, Metallic Knights Motorcycle Club and Aviators Motorcycle Club, also featured parade of porsche cars and power bikes along the carnival route and had the bikers led by Governor Ben Ayade and the former Governor of the state Donald Duke and several eminent personalities taking part in the parade.
The participation of riders with ordinary motor bikes added great excitement to the spectators including a scene which had a biker and a younger lady on display to the admiration of the crowd, especially the Bangladesh High Commissioner, Mr Md Shameem Ahsan, his wife and daughter who witnessed it for the the first time.
Later in the day, the Miss Africa Pageant Grand Finale; Brass Band Concert; Calabash Concert and more event came to round up for the day.
