BMTC 44: CAS Charges New Recruits to Uphold Excellence and Integrity in Defence of Nigeria

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, emphasized the importance of exceptional traits and abilities in defending Nigeria’s sovereignty during the Passing Out Parade for Basic Military Training Course 44/2023 at the Military Training Center in Kaduna.

The CAS commended the 1,190 newly inducted airmen and airwomen for their perseverance and dedication, highlighting the transformative nature of their training. He urged them to uphold the Nigerian Air Force’s core values of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all they do.

Air Marshal Abubakar also emphasized their responsibility to remain vigilant, respect civilians, and adhere to rules of engagement and social media guidelines. He noted that their actions reflect directly on the esteemed image of the NAF.

The CAS expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to addressing the operational, logistical, and welfare needs of the NAF. He also acknowledged the support of the Governor and people of Kaduna State, as well as other security agencies.

The ceremony concluded with an Oath Taking Ceremony, where the new airmen and airwomen pledged their absolute loyalty to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Afterwards, Air Marshal Abubakar assessed the progress of construction work on the new Air Force Secondary School and commissioned a classroom block for children with special needs at the NAFOWA Little Angels Nursery and Primary School, built under the leadership of Architect Dr Rakiya Abubakar.
