BANGLADESH HIGH COMMISSIONER IN NIGERIA VISITS INTERIOR MINISTER

The High Commissioner of  Bangladesh in Nigeria, His Excellency, Md Shameem Ahsan on Friday, August 14 called on Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, Honorable Interior Minister in line with covid-19 protocols with his Third Secretary, Mohammad Shah Ekranul Hogue.

Both sides discussed about exploring new areas of cooperation between the two countries.

“I was impressed to learn his depth of knowledge on South Asia including on Bangladesh”, H.E. Shameen noted.

Argboahola lauded Bangladesh’s development journey and was specially appreciative of the role of Bangladesh Police (currently 3rd largest contributor with 784 police under UN Peace-Keeping Missions while two woman-only police units in Haiti and Congo were fully staffed by Bangladeshi women police personnel).

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mrs. Barr. Georgina Ehuriah was also present in the meeting, among others (14 August,2020, Abuja).
