Bangladesh High Commission Organises Friendship Table Tennis Competition in Celebration of Tarunyeb Utsab-2025 (2nd Phase)

The Bangladesh High Commission in Nigeria organized a friendly table tennis competition on October 11, 2025, in celebration of Tarunyeb Utsab-2025 (2nd Phase). The competition was attended by representatives of the young generation of expatriate Bangladeshis and Nigerians.

The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the July-August 2024 anti-discrimination movement.

H.E. Mian Md. Mainul Kabir, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, delivered the opening remarks, paying tribute to the martyrs and highlighting the significance of Tarunyeb Utsab.

The competition was divided into two groups, and the High Commissioner officially inaugurated the event.

Representatives of the young generation of expatriate Bangladeshis and Nigerians participated in the table tennis competition.

The winners were awarded prizes by the High Commissioner after the competition.

The Objective  was to celebrate Tarunyeb Utsab-2025 (2nd Phase) and promote friendship and camaraderie among the young generation of expatriate Bangladeshis and Nigerians.

To provide a platform for the young generation to showcase their talents and skills.

To foster a sense of community and unity among the expatriate Bangladeshi community in Nigeria.

The event concluded with a reception for the guests and participants.
