The Government of Bangladesh has expressed its strongest condemnation of Israel’s continued mass killings and gross human rights violations in the Gaza Strip. The condemnation comes after Israel’s unilateral breach of the ceasefire last month, resulting in scores of Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, and a humanitarian catastrophe due to blocked humanitarian aid.

Key demands made by Bangladesh include: Immediate ceasefire of cease all military operations and exercise of maximum restraint.

The government of Bangladesh has appealed to the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take immediate and effective steps towards implementing an unconditional ceasefire and protection of civilians.

Bangladesh reiterates its call for a two-state solution based on international law, UN resolutions, and Palestinian aspirations for peace, dignity, and justice.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirms Bangladesh’s strong support for the Palestinian people’s rights, including self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Bangladesh stresses the need for diplomacy and dialogue to end the violence and suffering afflicting the Palestinian people.

The international community has been urged to work towards a two-state solution, emphasizing the importance of regional and global stability.

Bangladesh’s condemnation of Israel’s actions has sparked widespread protests across the country, with many calling for an end to the violence and human rights abuses.
