APCs Rev Father Alia wins Benue governorship race

Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has been declared Governor-Elect of Benue State having won the March 18 governorship election as the All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate.
The Catholic priest was declared winner of the election today leading the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate by 250,023 margin.
According to INEC, Alia of APC polled 473,933 votes to defeat his closest rival PDP candidate, Titus Uba, who got 223,913 votes.
