APC Chairman, Yilwatda Hails Tinubu at 74, Says President Driving Transformational Reforms

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose bold reforms are laying the foundation for a new Nigeria.
In a statement issued on behalf of the party’s leadership and members, APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, said the President’s life and political journey reflect resilience, courage and a deep commitment to nation-building.
Yilwatda noted that Tinubu’s leadership has ushered in what he described as a “decisive era of courageous leadership and transformational reforms,” adding that the administration has taken bold steps to address longstanding economic and governance challenges.
According to him, the President has demonstrated statesmanship by implementing far-reaching policies aimed at stabilizing the economy, restoring investor confidence, improving infrastructure, and promoting inclusive growth.
He said the reforms, though difficult in the short term, are necessary to reposition Nigeria for long-term prosperity, competitiveness and resilience.
The APC chairman also commended the administration’s focus on social investment, youth empowerment, agriculture, industrial revival, and national security, noting that these efforts reflect a comprehensive and future-oriented governance approach.
Quoting the Special Adviser to the APC National Chairman on Media and Communications Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, the statement emphasized the party’s confidence in the President’s leadership.
“We acknowledge that meaningful reform often comes with temporary discomfort, but we are convinced that the sacrifices of today will yield a stronger, more prosperous and more equitable Nigeria for present and future generations,” Tooki said.
Tooki added that President Tinubu continues to inspire confidence through his dedication to democratic ideals, institutional strengthening and responsible governance.
“Indeed, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to inspire confidence across the nation through his steadfast dedication to democratic ideals, institutional strengthening and responsible governance. His leadership embodies the progressive values upon which our Party is built — courage, justice, development, inclusion and national renewal,” he stated.
The APC reaffirmed its pride in the President’s leadership, expressing optimism that his policies will deliver enduring peace, stability and prosperity for Nigeria.
The party also prayed for renewed strength, wisdom and good health for the President as he continues to steer the nation at a critical time in its history.
