AMBASSADOR SHAMEEM OF BANGLADESH PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT OF SERBIA

The Erudite Ambassador of Bangladesh to Italy MD Shameem Ahsan presented credentials to His Excellency Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Serbia yesterday at the Palace of Serbia, Belgrade.
Speaking at the event, Md Shameem who was former ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, explained the cordial bilateral relationship between the two friendly countries rooted in history particularly personal friendship between the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Mr. Josip Broz Tito, President of former Yugoslavia (Serbia being the successor State). Both sides stressed on stronger trade and economic links between the two friendly countries.
“I was at the Palace in 2006 to accompany the then Bangladesh Ambassador, accredited to Serbia with residence in Rome, during his presentation of credentials. Today, I had the opportunity to present credentials at the Palace but in the capacity of Ambassador”, he recalled.
