Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle, Tricycle Repairers (ACOMORON) intimates Transportation Ministry of opting out of nationwide protest.

The Comrade President, Prince Adebayo Apelogun of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle, Tricycle Repairers of Nigeria (ACOMORON), has intimated the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali of the resolution of the executives of his association with nationwide spread, of not being a part of the planned nationwide protest scheduled for 1st of August.

His executive members’ resolution, he said, was made at its meeting held at their national secretariat at Olu Agabi Close, off Awosetu Street, Jabi, Abuja, yesterday, Wednesday, 24th July, 2024.

“All members of our trade union will not take any part in the planned nationwide anti-government protest, scheduled to begin on 1st August, 2024, because we don’t believe in the protesters and their cause, the protest may be highjacked and our members and country men and women can come to harm. We don’t want these. The losses we suffered during the End SARS protest are still fresh in our memories; no one compensated us for our losses”, Apelogun stated.

Comrade Prince Apelogun shared a hard copy of the “Communique” of the 24th July meeting of his union’s executive along with video recordings and photographs depicting him and his executive members, which cut across the states of the country to buttress their resolve.
