Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has unveiled innovative measures to elevate service delivery and environmental cleanliness at Nigerian airports. These initiatives aim to address the expectations of travelers and ensure airports meet the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.

The key initiatives include:

Voluntary Special Airport Marshals: Public-spirited individuals from various sectors will conduct unscheduled airport visits to monitor staff conduct and assess airport conditions. They will report directly to the Minister, promoting transparency and accountability.

Unscheduled Ministerial Visits: Keyamo will conduct monthly inspections, accompanied by top officials, to oversee operational activities, address staff concerns, and encourage professionalism.
Stakeholder Consultations: The Minister will engage stakeholders to identify and appoint suitable Special Airport Marshals, with names announced publicly to ensure transparency.

These measures demonstrate Keyamo’s commitment to maintaining exceptional service delivery and cleanliness at Nigerian airports, aligning with the government’s efforts to enhance infrastructure and transportation.

News Dot Africa suggests that the media should be included in this worthy initiative to boost awareness, timely dissemination of information and as media representation will also expand the reach.
